Job summary

Omega Resource Group is seeking an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis in Hampshire. The role covers service, maintenance and responsive repairs on HVAC assets within a major supermarket contract.

Key duties include completing PPMs, handling helpdesk calls, and ensuring safe operation of gas-fired and water systems. Qualification to applicable gas Standards is required, with on-call standby and full-time hours as listed.

Qualifications

• Commercial Gas qualifications required (COCN1, CIGA1, CORT1, TPCP1, TPCP1A, ICPN1, CENWAT, CPA1, CDGA1, CCP1).
• F Gas (2079) qualified.
• 17th or 18th Edition (Desirable)
• Unvented Water Heaters – HWSS Hot Water Systems & Safety – Essential

Responsibilities

• Complete the PPM schedule with accurate paperwork.
• Respond to service calls from Helpdesk and carry out repairs within timescales.
• Service and maintain HVAC assets including gas-fired heating, LPHW, DX coils, heat pumps, boilers, pumps, DHW, and water chillers.
• Identify non-repairable faults and advise on replacements.
• Comply with Health, Safety & Environmental policies.

Commercial Gas Engineer

£46,999.94 (salary including on call standby 1:4)

My client is on the lookout for an experienced HVAC Technician to join the team. You will have the opportunity to work on one of their leading supermarket contracts.

Key Responsibilities – Commercial Gas Engineer

• Complete the PPM agreed schedule ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and to the laid-down procedures.
• To respond (promptly and positively) to service call/alarm requests from the central Helpdesk and to assess the requirements of the job and carry out repairs as necessary within agreed timescales and response times. Updating the call and job status afterwards.
• Carry out service and maintenance on HVAC assets including but not limited to air handling units with gas fired heating, LPHW, DX coils, heat pump systems, single split air conditioning, LPHW boilers, pumps, inverters, DHW boilers, and water chillers.
• To identify non-repairable faults in plant and machinery and promptly advise the Line Manager of findings and to make recommendations to the Line Manager regarding suitable replacement.
• All completed within our Health, Safety & Environmental policies

Qualifications & Experience – Commercial Gas Engineer

• You will hold recognized Commercial Gas qualifications – you will have at least 4 of the following qualifications: COCN1, CIGA1, CORT1, TPCP1, TPCP1A, ICPN1, CENWAT, CPA1, CDGA1, CCP1
• F Gas (2079) qualified
• 17th or 18th Edition (Desirable)
• Unvented Water Heaters – HWSS Hot Water Systems & Safety (including G3 Unvented HWS) – Essential

On Offer – Commercial Gas Engineer

• £46,999.94 (salary including on call standby 1:4)
• 42.5 Hours Per Week, 8:30am-5:00pm
• 25 days + 8 bank holidays
• Overtime
• Travel time after ½ hour each way
