Job summary

McM Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join a growing Essex-based engineering firm on a permanent basis. You'll service and maintain premium commercial contracts across Essex and surrounding areas, including MOD sites and private schools, with a realistic workload and no mandatory weekend work or call-outs.

The role offers a competitive salary (£55,000–£60,000), a fully expensed company van for personal use, generous holiday entitlement, a pension scheme,

Qualifications

• Proven experience working as a Commercial Gas Engineer.
• Valid Commercial Gas qualifications (ACS).
• Experience servicing and maintaining commercial heating systems.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance on commercial gas systems.
• Servicing, fault finding, and repairing commercial heating plant and associated equipment.
• Diagnosing faults and completing repairs efficiently to minimise downtime.
• Completing all relevant service reports and compliance documentation.
• Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in accordance with current regulations.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients on site.
