Job summary

McM Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join a well-established mechanical contractor in Liverpool. This permanent role offers local work across the North West, minimal travel, a supportive team, and strong long-term career prospects.

You will carry out preventative and reactive maintenance on commercial gas systems, service heating equipment, diagnose faults, and ensure compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Commercial Gas Engineer.
• Valid Commercial Gas ACS qualifications.
• Experience servicing and maintaining commercial heating systems.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Excellent communication and customer-service skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on commercial gas systems.
• Service, fault-find, and repair commercial heating plants.
• Diagnose faults and complete repairs to minimise downtime.
• Complete service reports and compliance documentation.
• Ensure all work complies with current regulations.
• Build and maintain client relationships on site.
• Participate in a 1-in-5 call-out rota.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance on commercial gas systems
• Servicing, fault finding, and repairing commercial heating plant and associated equipment
• Diagnosing faults and completing repairs efficiently to minimise downtime
• Completing all relevant service reports and compliance documentation
• Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in accordance with current regulations
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients on site
• Participating in a 1-in-5 call-out rota

Skills and Qualifications Required

• Proven experience working as a Commercial Gas Engineer
• Valid Commercial Gas ACS qualifications
• Experience servicing and maintaining commercial heating systems
