Role Overview

Maintain our customers' commercial heating and plumbing assets.

Joining the Team

As a Field-based HVAC Commercial Gas and Plumbing Engineer, you will join a team of experienced engineers supporting our mission to be a trusted partner that “takes care of it”. We invest in your long-term growth, providing opportunities to own your career and work on industry-defining projects, with a focus on personal and professional development.

Key Tasks
  • Reactive maintenance
  • Proactive maintenance
  • Attending scheduled planned maintenance visits (PPMs)
  • Supporting office staff/liaising with suppliers for parts
  • Liaising with clients to manage relationships and service
  • Maintain water supply systems
  • Locate and repair water supply issues (e.g., leaks)
  • Service and repair gas heating boilers in commercial premises
  • Install and maintain gas heating systems (small gas-fired boilers, radiators, pipework)
  • Cut, assemble, and install pipes and tubes, respecting existing infrastructure
  • Participate in out-of-hours on-call rota
Service Delivery
  • Ensure service delivery excellence by delivering quality work consistently and being part of a team where service is central to performance.
Managing Risk
  • Be aware of operational and regulation risks impacting your work.
  • Report any risks to your line manager that could affect the business.
Health & Safety
  • Follow Risk Assessments and Method Statements, and compile reports as per H&S requirements.
  • Coordinate with the ROM to ensure compliance with safety frameworks.
Candidate Criteria

Essential attributes include:

  • Excellent understanding of Commercial/Domestic plumbing systems
  • Technical fault finding skills
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role
  • Flexible approach to work and availability for out-of-hours work
  • IT proficiency with tablets or PDAs

Desirable attributes include:

  • Experience in commercial & domestic heating environments
  • Understanding of customer needs for first-time fix
  • Experience working in large or corporate settings
  • Experience with air conditioning systems
  • Knowledge of renewable technology
