This is a permanent Commercial Gas Engineer role based in Nottinghamshire, involving regional and some national travel. You will join a reputable Facilities Management & Building Services Engineering firm that values integrity and employee development.

Role overview:

As a Commercial Gas Engineer, your responsibilities include servicing, maintenance, and reactive work on clients' commercial heating systems and associated pipework across the UK. You will work with various systems such as boilers, burners, and warm air heaters in warehouses, offices, and retail premises. Your duties will encompass:

• Performing annual services and scheduled maintenance adhering to safety standards.
• Completing Gas Safety Certificates and relevant documentation.
• Installing new heating and hot water systems.
• Diagnosing and rectifying faults on equipment from different manufacturers.
• Coordinating with suppliers and manufacturers regarding parts, warranties, and technical issues.
• Responding to maintenance and reactive plumbing calls.
• Providing excellent customer service and representing the company professionally.
• Attending training to maintain skills, qualifications, and safety standards.

Candidate requirements:

• Essential: Commercial ACS certifications and a proven track record.
• Must be Gas Safe registered and hold a valid UK driving license.
• Commercial Gas qualifications are required; domestic qualifications are a plus.
• Experience with air handling and ventilation systems.
• IPAF/PASMA certifications for high-level work.
• Motivated, high standards, good communication skills, and flexibility to work away and on-call shifts.

Qualifications needed include: COCN1, CDGA1, CIGA1, CORT1, ICPN1, TPCP1, TPCP1A, CCN1, CEN1, CPA1.

Benefits:

The role offers a competitive hourly rate of GBP20.90, with a base salary of GBP40,755 per annum, and potential total earnings of GBP45K-GBP55K including overtime. Benefits include a company van, fuel card, lodge cards, mobile phone, 24 days holiday plus bank holidays, and pension scheme. Core hours are Monday to Friday, 08:00-16:30, with overtime and on-call duties as required.
