Job description

We are currently seeking an experienced Mobile Commercial Gas Engineer to cover service, maintenance, and reactive work requirements for clients' commercial heating systems and associated pipework. This role primarily involves working with clients in warehouses, offices, and retail premises across the UK, dealing with various commercial and domestic heating systems such as boilers, burners, and warm air heaters.

Must have Requirements:

  • Gas Safety Registered / Commercial Gas Safe Registered
  • Valid UK driver's license
  • Experience with air handling/ventilation systems
  • IPAF/PASMA certification, essential for servicing high-level warehouse gas radiant heaters
  • Highly motivated with a commitment to high standards in all environments
  • Good communication skills, both oral and written
  • Availability to work away from home occasionally for service visits
  • On-call availability covering nights and weekends (call-out fees and premiums apply)

Responsibilities, Duties & Requirements:

  • Punctuality and excellent time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Effective reporting verbally and electronically
  • Perform annual services and scheduled maintenance to high standards following H&S procedures
  • Complete Gas Safety Certificates and relevant documentation upon job completion
  • Install new heating and hot water systems
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and rectify faults on various equipment and systems
  • Identify parts and materials, liaise with suppliers and manufacturers for technical issues and warranties
  • Attend to maintenance and reactive plumbing calls as required
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, building rapport with clients and representing the company professionally
  • Attend training courses to keep skills and qualifications current and ensure safety compliance
  • Maintain accurate service reports and records, using PDA if applicable
