Vertu FM is seeking a Commercial Gas Engineer to join our mobile engineering team covering Norwich and surrounding area. You will carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs to gas and heating systems at hospitality venues, ensuring compliance and high service standards.

You must hold Gas Safe registration with ACS qualifications (CCN1/CENWAT1) and have experience on commercial and/or domestic gas equipment.

Formación

• Gas Safe registration and ACS qualifications required.
• CCN1/CENWAT1 essential; COMCAT advantageous.
• NVQ Level 2/3 Plumbing & Heating or equivalent advantageous.

Responsabilidades

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs to gas and heating systems at hospitality venues.
• Service, fault-find and repair commercial and domestic boilers, water heaters, pipework and controls.
• Work on gas-fired heating plant and other relevant equipment within qualifications and competencies.
• Complete gas safety inspections, testing, certification and accurate maintenance records.
• Respond to jobs from the service desk and plan work to meet response times.
• Identify additional repairs and advise on replacement needs and support quotations.
• Keep job progress and completion information up to date on company systems.
• Provide a professional service to site managers and participate in the regional callout rota.

Commercial Gas Engineer

Engineer base and travel region: Norwich; regional coverage may extend towards Ipswich.

Permanent Full Time

Salary £45,000 (based on 37.5 contracted hours) + Company Vehicle + Excellent Package

We are working with a reputable and growing national facilities management contractor that delivers planned and reactive building maintenance services across a portfolio of pubs, bars and hospitality venues.

Due to continued growth, they are recruiting for their mobile engineering team. The role covers a mobile hospitality portfolio across Norwich and the surrounding area.

The Role:

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs to gas and heating systems at hospitality venues.
• Service, fault-find and repair commercial and domestic boilers, water heaters, pipework and associated controls.
• Work on gas-fired heating plant and other relevant equipment within your qualifications and competencies.
• Complete gas safety inspections, testing, certification and accurate maintenance records.
• Respond to jobs from the service desk and plan work to meet agreed response times.
• Identify additional repairs, advise on replacement needs and support quotations where required.
• Keep job progress and completion information up to date on company systems.
• Provide a professional service to site managers and participate in the regional callout rota.

The Person:

• Current Gas Safe registration and relevant valid ACS competencies for the equipment worked on.
• Commercial ACS Gas Qualifications are essential
• CCN1 and CENWAT1 qualifications are essential.
• Experience servicing, maintaining and fault-finding on commercial and/or domestic gas equipment.
• Commercial catering (COMCAT) qualifications advantageous; development may be supported.
• NVQ Level 2/3 Plumbing & Heating or equivalent advantageous.
• Strong customer service, sound IT/reporting skills and ability to work independently.
• Full UK driving licence and comfortable travelling throughout the regional patch.

The Package:

• Basic salary £45,000
• Permanent, full-time
• 37.5 contracted hours per week.
• Overtime available
• Company van and travel paid after the first and last 30 minutes of each day.
• Callout travel paid door to door.
• £150 standby payment; callout rota approximately 1 week in 6.
• 23 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
