Job summary

Omega is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to join our team on a permanent basis, working on national supermarket contracts. The role focuses on commercial gas systems and HVAC assets, with on-call duties.

You will carry out PPMs, respond to helpdesk calls, diagnose faults, and advise on replacements, all while complying with Health, Safety and Environmental policies.

Qualifications

• Recognised commercial gas qualifications (COCN1, CIGA1, CORT1, or equivalent).
• 17th or 18th Edition (desirable).
• Unvented Hot Water Systems knowledge including G3 Unvented HWS.

Responsibilities

• Complete the PPM schedule and paperwork in line with procedures.
• Respond to service call/alarm requests from the Helpdesk and assess requirements, carrying out repairs within agreed timescales.
• Service and maintenance on HVAC assets including AHUs, gas heating, LPHW, DX coils, heat pumps, split systems, LPHW boilers, pumps, inverters, DHW boilers and water chillers.
• Identify non-repairable faults and advise on replacements to the Line Manager.
• Work within Health, Safety & Environmental policies.

£46,994.00 (salary including on call standby 1:4)

My client is on the lookout for an experienced HVAC Technician to join the team. You will have the opportunity to work on one of their leading supermarket contracts.

• Complete the PPM agreed schedule ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and to the laid-down procedures.
• To respond (promptly and positively) to service call/alarm requests from the central Helpdesk and to assess the requirements of the job and carry out repairs as necessary within agreed timescales and response times. Updating the call and job status afterwards.
• Carry out service and maintenance on HVAC assets including but not limited to air handling units with gas fired heating, LPHW, DX coils, heat pump systems, single split air conditioning, LPHW boilers, pumps, inverters, DHW boilers, and water chillers.
• To identify non-repairable faults in plant and machinery and promptly advise the Line Manager of findings and to make recommendations to the Line Manager regarding suitable replacement.
• All completed within our Health, Safety & Environmental policies

Qualifications & Experience – Commercial Gas Engineer

• You will hold recognized Commercial Gas qualifications – you will have at least 4 of the following qualifications: COCN1, CIGA1, CORT1, TPCP1, TPCP1A, ICPN1, CENWAT, CPA1, CDGA1, CCP1
• 17th or 18th Edition (Desirable)
• Unvented Water Heaters – HWSS Hot Water Systems & Safety (including G3 Unvented HWS) – Essential
