Job summary

Omega Resource Group seeks an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer in the Coventry/Oxford M40 area. You will perform maintenance on HVAC assets with gas-fired heating and various boiler and chiller systems, ensuring all work is carried out to required safety standards.

The role requires holding recognised Commercial Gas qualifications listed above; F Gas (2079) is essential and 17th/18th Edition is desirable. Permanent position with overtime and company van benefits.

Qualifications

• Commercial gas qualifications listed; at least 4 of the listed certificates.
• F Gas (2079) qualification.
• 17th or 18th Edition (Desirable).
• Unvented Water Heaters – HWSS HWS, including G3 Unvented HWS – Essential.

Responsibilities

• Complete the PPM schedule with all required paperwork.
• Respond to service calls from Helpdesk and assess/repair within timescales.
• Service and maintenance on HVAC assets (gas heaters, LPHW, DX coils, heat pumps, AC, boilers, pumps, inverters, DHW, chillers).
• Identify non-repairable faults and advise Line Manager on replacements.
• Comply with Health, Safety & Environmental policies.

Commercial Gas Engineer

Coventry/Oxford M40

£46,994.00 (salary including on call standby 1:4)

My client is on the lookout for an experienced HVAC Technician to join the team. You will have the opportunity to work on one of their leading supermarket contracts.

Key Responsibilities – Commercial Gas Engineer

• Complete the PPM agreed schedule ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and to the laid-down procedures.
• To respond (promptly and positively) to service call/alarm requests from the central Helpdesk and to assess the requirements of the job and carry out repairs as necessary within agreed timescales and response times. Updating the call and job status afterwards.
• Carry out service and maintenance on HVAC assets including but not limited to air handling units with gas fired heating, LPHW, DX coils, heat pump systems, single split air conditioning, LPHW boilers, pumps, inverters, DHW boilers, and water chillers.
• To identify non-repairable faults in plant and machinery and promptly advise the Line Manager of findings and to make recommendations to the Line Manager regarding suitable replacement.
• All completed within our Health, Safety & Environmental policies

Qualifications & Experience – Commercial Gas Engineer

• You will hold recognized Commercial Gas qualifications – you will have at least 4 of the following qualifications: COCN1, CIGA1, CORT1, TPCP1, TPCP1A, ICPN1, CENWAT, CPA1, CDGA1, CCP1
• F Gas (2079) qualified
• 17th or 18th Edition (Desirable)
• Unvented Water Heaters – HWSS Hot Water Systems & Safety (including G3 Unvented HWS) – Essential

On Offer – Commercial Gas Engineer

• £46,994.00 (salary including on call standby 1:4)
• 42.5 Hours Per Week, 8:30am-5:00pm
• 25 days + 8 bank holidays
• Overtime
• Travel time after ½ hour each way
