Job summary

Omega Resource Group is seeking an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer for a permanent role based in Southwest London/Heathrow. The job involves servicing and maintaining HVAC systems including gas-fired heating, LPHW, DX coils, heat pumps, air conditioning, boilers, pumps, and related equipment.

The role requires holding recognized commercial gas qualifications (e.g., COCN1, CIGA1, CORT1, TPCP1, and related certificates) plus F Gas (2079) and HWSS/HWS knowledge.

Qualifications

• You will hold recognized Commercial Gas qualifications (look for COCN1, CIGA1, CORT1, TPCP1, TPCP1A, ICPN1, CENWAT, CPA1, CDGA1, CCP1).
• F Gas (2079) qualified.
• 17th or 18th Edition (Desirable).
• Unvented Water Heaters – HWSS, G3 Unvented HWS – Essential.

Responsibilities

• Complete the PPM schedule with paperwork.
• Respond to service calls from Helpdesk and carry out repairs within timescales.
• Service and maintain HVAC assets (gas fired heating, LPHW, DX coils, heat pumps, AC, boilers, pumps, inverters, DHW, chillers).
• Identify non-repairable faults and advise Line Manager on replacements.
• Comply with Health, Safety & Environmental policies.

£46,994.00 (salary including on call standby 1:4) + 11% - 15% LWA

My client is on the lookout for an experienced HVAC Technician to join the team. You will have the opportunity to work on one of their leading supermarket contracts.

Key Responsibilities – Commercial Gas Engineer

• Complete the PPM agreed schedule ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and to the laid-down procedures.
• To respond (promptly and positively) to service call/alarm requests from the central Helpdesk and to assess the requirements of the job and carry out repairs as necessary within agreed timescales and response times. Updating the call and job status afterwards.
• Carry out service and maintenance on HVAC assets including but not limited to air handling units with gas fired heating, LPHW, DX coils, heat pump systems, single split air conditioning, LPHW boilers, pumps, inverters, DHW boilers, and water chillers.
• To identify non-repairable faults in plant and machinery and promptly advise the Line Manager of findings and to make recommendations to the Line Manager regarding suitable replacement.
• All completed within our Health, Safety & Environmental policies

• You will hold recognized Commercial Gas qualifications – you will have at least 4 of the following qualifications: COCN1, CIGA1, CORT1, TPCP1, TPCP1A, ICPN1, CENWAT, CPA1, CDGA1, CCP1
• F Gas (2079) qualified
• 17th or 18th Edition (Desirable)
• Unvented Water Heaters – HWSS Hot Water Systems & Safety (including G3 Unvented HWS) – Essential

On Offer – Commercial Gas Engineer

• £46,994.00 (salary including on call standby 1:4)
• 42.5 Hours Per Week, 8:30am-5:00pm
• 25 days + 8 bank holidays
• Overtime
• Travel time after ½ hour each way
