Join our dynamic, growing and well-respected Commercial Finance team at CMS; a future-facing international law firm which combines deep local market and sector understanding with a global perspective across more than 80 offices in over 45 countries. We are looking for a talented and proactive Commercial Finance Manager to business partner closely with Practice and Sector leaders and other senior stakeholder, helping to drive profitability, the pricing strategy, and innovative pricing and profitability solutions.

About the Role
  • Commercial Finance Business Partnering with practice, sector, or regional leadership to develop impactful pricing solutions, and profitability improvement initiatives.
  • Pricing support on major tenders and panel appointments aligned with the pricing strategy.
  • Financial modelling, providing assessment, insight, and proposed improvement strategies.
  • Develop and coach junior members of the team by demonstrating thought leadership and fostering a collaborative approach.
  • Train and educate partners and fee earners about financial management, profitability and cost levers, pricing and pricing strategies, and commerciality.
  • Supporting the Head of Commercial Finance, and Senior Commercial Finance Managers in delivering strategic projects.
About You

  • Qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent (desired but not essential).
  • Strong analytical and financial interpretation skills, with ability to communicate financial strategies clearly and concisely.
  • Proven commercial finance and pricing experience preferably in a legal or other professional services environment.
  • Highly motivated, tenacious and results driven with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Excellent stakeholder relationship building and management skills, with strong verbal and written communication.
  • Have a collaborative and inclusive mindset with respect to colleagues in other business operational functions.
