e.surv Chartered Surveyors are currently recruiting for a Commercial Finance Manager to partner with our Business Development Director and Consumer Director. You will leverage your expertise in market analysis and trends related to revenue, customers, clients, and overall profitability of our Consumer business.

This is a home-based role, with regular travel to the Head Office in Kettering on an ad hoc basis.

Accountabilities Include
Reporting
  • Design and lead daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly revenue performance reports, including KPIs and insights, facilitating discussions on implications, next steps, and remediation strategies.
  • Manage the Commercial Finance analysts in creating and commenting on relevant revenue reports and KPIs.
  • Deliver comprehensive revenue and commercial finance reports such as QBRs, Monthly FD calls, and business performance reviews with the CEO/CFO.
Business Partnering
  • Act as a finance business partner to the Sales (Business Development Director – B2B/Lender and B2C/Consumer Director) and Head of Marketing, supporting issue and trend identification and driving business performance improvements.
  • Support commercial tenders with dynamic pricing, revenue, cost, and margin modelling, providing commercial support for pricing and product positioning.
Strategic Optimisation – for Lender & Consumer segments
  • Maintain external market perspectives by modelling market, customer, and competitor trends and their impact on revenue projections.
  • Deliver scenario planning for potential business strategies and market assumptions to support strategic planning.
  • Provide revenue and profit modelling for various business strategies, including organic growth, acquisitions, market entry, and exit.
  • Prepare revenue stream models and scenarios for investment appraisals and business cases.
  • Support the identification and delivery of new business initiatives, ensuring alignment with business cases and refining execution plans as needed.
Planning Cycle
  • Develop a robust, defensible revenue plan aligned with business strategy, including a clear narrative.
  • Own the creation of the one-year budget and ongoing revenue forecasts, consolidating opportunities considering market conditions and business performance.
  • Present plans, budgets, and forecasts visually, with clear narratives and transitions.
  • Articulate all plans with relevant metrics, assumptions, and competitive insights.
Essential Requirements
  • Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) with FP&A and/or Commercial Finance experience.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a strategic mindset and ability to influence business performance.
  • Extensive experience in creating and presenting robust plans, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Ability to portray business performance compellingly with engaging narratives.
  • Financial modelling and scenario planning expertise.
