This is an exceptional opportunity for a high achiever to take a leading role in a market leading wood-panel board manufacturing and distribution Company. Your efforts and success will be rewarded generously in both remuneration and career development.

You will be required to live within a commutable distance from the plant. Our current leadership lives in Manchester, Liverpool, Cheshire, Shropshire or North East Wales. The role involves extensive travel nationally and occasional travel internationally.
Responsibilities:

•You will have full responsibility for sales, profit margin and P&L.

•Reporting directly to the CEO, the Commercial Director heads the Sales, Customer Services, Specification, Marketing, Supply Chain and Production Planning teams. You will mentor and motivate your people to achieve excellent output in their work activities.

•You will shape, develop and execute comprehensive commercial strategies to achieve sustainable business growth.

•Utilising your expertise in sales management and strategic planning, you will drive our commercial activities.

•You will personally take ownership of the customer relationship by negotiating with the key decision makers at our broad mix of customers. Including FTSE100, private equity owned and independent family businesses.

•Provide support & assistance to other global Kronospan operations as required.

Requirements

•The right candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent performance in a significant commercial role during their career to date with international exposure. Well-travelled with the ability to negotiate with international customers. Being fluent in more than one language would be beneficial.

•Initially being mentored directly by the CEO, you will be a quick learner with an eye for detail and eager to take on the responsibilities of the Commercial Director in as short a period as possible.

•With a good head for numbers, you will also possess excellent communication, negotiation, administrative and leadership skills.
