Job summary

Bell & Co Professional Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Commercial Claims Handler to join a leading insurance broker in a hybrid role based in North Leeds. You will manage a portfolio of complex commercial claims, advising clients and colleagues, investigating matters, and liaising with insurers to drive settlements.

The role requires experience in commercial claims, strong insurance knowledge, and excellent negotiation and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in commercial claims handling within an insurance brokerage.
• Strong understanding of commercial insurance products and claims processes.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple complex claims efficiently.
• Professional qualifications (e.g., Cert CII) preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Handle and manage a variety of commercial insurance claims from inception to settlement, including Property, Motor, Liabilities and PI
• Provide expert advice and support to clients and colleagues regarding claim matters
• Investigate and assess claims to determine liability and potential settlement
• Liaise with insurers, legal representatives, and other relevant parties to facilitate efficient claims resolution
• Mentor and support claims colleagues, contributing to the team's development
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
