Job Description:

The Commercial Catering Engineer is required for a client based on the South Coast near Brighton. They are a leading commercial catering equipment company serving the catering, hospitality, and public sectors, providing services such as installation, maintenance, repairs, and servicing of all types of commercial catering and refrigeration equipment.

This role has arisen due to increased demand and new contracts. The engineer will service, maintain, and troubleshoot catering equipment, including fryers, ovens, microwaves, and steamers. The engineer will work across South West London and nearby areas, attending sites such as restaurants, hotels, schools, and bars. Candidates must hold their Comcat qualifications (levels 1, 3, and 5).

The responsibilities include maintenance, repairs, and fault diagnosis of catering appliances, including cook line equipment and warewashing. Experience with Rational ovens and dishwashers is advantageous.

• Essential: Comcat 1, 3, and 5 qualifications
• Industry experience in commercial catering equipment
• Electrical and gas catering equipment repair & maintenance experience
• Experience with Rational and dishwashers (advantageous)
• Full UK driving license

Salary ranges from £40,000 to £47,000 depending on experience. The role involves a 40-hour week, door-to-door travel paid, a 1-in-6-week call-out rota with a paid retainer, a company van (for personal use) and fuel card, overtime at 1.5x and 2x, and holiday entitlement starting at 21 days, increasing to 25 days after 3 years plus bank holidays.
