Job description

A Commercial Catering Engineer is required for a client based on the South Coast near Brighton. They are a leading company in commercial catering equipment, serving the catering, hospitality, and public sectors. The company offers full turnkey solutions, including service, maintenance, repairs, and installations of all types of commercial catering and refrigeration equipment.

Role Responsibilities

1. Provide service, maintenance, and breakdown support for catering equipment such as fryers, ovens, microwaves, and steamers.
2. Attend sites across the M23 Corridor, including Croydon, Redhill, and Crawley, covering locations like restaurants, hotels, schools, and bars.
3. Carry out maintenance, repairs, and fault finding on catering appliances, including cook line equipment and ware washing systems.
4. Experience with Rational ovens and dishwashers is advantageous.

Candidate Requirements

• Comcat 1, 3, and 5 qualifications are required, or electrical catering experience.
• Minimum experience working on electrical catering equipment.
• Living within a commutable distance to Croydon, Redhill, and Crawley.
• Industry experience with commercial catering equipment.
• Experience in electrical and gas catering equipment repair and maintenance.
• Full UK driving license.

Benefits and Salary

• Salary: £42,000 - £47,000 depending on experience.
• 40-hour workweek with door-to-door travel paid.
• 1 in 6 weeks call-out rota with paid retainer.
• Company van, fuel card, and optional personal use.
• Overtime at 1.5x and 2x rates.
• Holiday entitlement: 21 days rising to 25 days after 3 years, plus bank holidays.
