Commercial Catering Engineer is required for a client based on the South Coast near Brighton. The client is a leading company in commercial catering equipment, serving the catering, hospitality, and public sectors. The role involves service, maintenance, repairs, and installations on all types of commercial catering and refrigeration equipment. This opportunity arises due to increased demand and new contracts.

The Commercial Catering Engineer will be responsible for providing service, maintenance, and breakdown support for catering equipment, including fryers, ovens, microwaves, and steamers. The engineer will attend sites across the South Coast, such as restaurants, hotels, schools, and bars. Candidates must hold their Comcat qualifications, such as Comcat 1, 3, and 5.

Position Overview

As a Catering Engineer, you will carry out maintenance, repairs, and fault finding on catering equipment, including appliances in restaurants, hotels, schools, and pubs. Experience with Rational ovens and dishwashers is advantageous.

Requirements

• Comcat 1, 3, and 5 qualifications are essential
• Must be within commuting distance to cover London and the home counties
• Industry experience in commercial catering equipment
• Experience in electrical and gas catering equipment repair and maintenance
• Experience with Rational and dishwashers is a plus

Remuneration

• Salary between £37,000 and £44,000 depending on experience
• 40-hour workweek
• Door-to-door travel paid
• 1 in 7 weeks on-call rota with paid retainer
• Company van (for personal use) and fuel card
• Overtime paid at 1.5x and 2x rates
• 21 days holiday, increasing to 25 days after 3 years, plus bank holidays
