Job summary

Atomic Weapons Establishment is seeking a Commercial Capability Manager in Reading with hybrid working. You will develop and embed a comprehensive capability framework for competencies, training, development and mentoring, and identify skill gaps to implement targeted programs.

You will partner with department heads, manage training providers, and oversee the commercial skills and development programme and budget, ensuring alignment with wider AWE processes and governance.

Qualifications

• Must have proven professional experience.
• Experience in Procurement/Commercial function.
• Experience within HR or other people related functions with focus on skills and development.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and stakeholder management.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Define and manage the commercial competency framework.
• Develop training plans and manage training providers.
• Collaborate with HR and talent teams to align processes.
• Analyse market trends to define requirements.
• Roll out a mentoring programme.
• Maintain records and documentation.
