Job summary

AWE plc is seeking a Commercial Capability Manager to develop and embed a full capability framework covering competencies, training, development and mentoring. You will identify skill gaps within Commercial, design tailored development plans and collaborate with department heads to align with wider HR processes.

The role involves managing training providers, budgeting for Commercial development and driving a culture of continuous improvement, with hybrid working and strong employee benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in Procurement/Commercial function.
• Background in HR or people development functions.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Strong analytical and organisational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to work with ambiguity and changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and embed a full capability framework for competencies, training, development and mentoring.
• Identify and evaluate skill gaps and implement training programmes to bridge those gaps.
• Define the Commercial competency framework and career pathways.
• Manage Commercial training providers and budgets, ensuring value for money.
• Collaborate with HR and talent teams to align development processes and tools.
• Roll out a Commercial mentoring programme to nurture internal talent.
