The Role:

The Learning and Development Team is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organised Commercial Administrator to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring smooth financial operations within the department, managing processes efficiently and accurately.

Responsibilities include:

  • Processing all incoming and outgoing invoices accurately, tracking payments, and maintaining clear financial records.
  • Preparing, submitting, and tracking grant applications and claims to support development programmes through effective grants management.
  • Coordinating and executing monthly internal recharges to ensure proper allocation of departmental expenses.
  • Managing charges related to subcontracted providers, ensuring clarity and accuracy in all aspects of subcontractor recharges.
  • Preparing cost reports, summaries, and relevant financial data to support decision-making during monthly management meetings.

Ideal candidate:

Has a strong attention to detail and a methodical approach, with solid experience in administration and data entry, along with excellent numerical skills for accurate financial reporting. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP), is essential.

Effective communication skills are key. You should be confident engaging with various people face-to-face, in writing, and over the phone. Well-organised with proven planning skills, capable of managing and prioritising workloads in a busy environment.
