Job description

We are currently looking for a Commercial Account Handler to join our professional and welcoming team in Orpington.

From our Orpington location, we offer high-quality, specialist products to Personal and Commercial clients throughout the UK. We have sustained one of the highest customer satisfaction and retention rates within the industry by focusing on the precise needs of clients.

You will be joining a busy, proactive team of brokers who specialise in Commercial Insurance.

Flint Insurance focuses heavily on training and development, and a full induction and training plan will be provided to successful applicants.

Working alongside like-minded and experienced insurance brokers, this is a long-term opportunity with a ‘forever company’ that will provide career progression and security.

Day to day
  • New business quoting, negotiating, broking, and administration - converting new business inquiries in line with, or in excess of, company targets.
  • Renewal negotiating, broking, and administration - converting renewal business in line with, or in excess of, company targets.
  • Midterm adjustments & administration.
  • Maintaining day-to-day compliance procedures for FCA regulation. Incoming and outbound call handling - new and existing clients.
  • Corresponding & communicating with clients and insurers.
  • Checking covers, warranties, endorsements to ensure that they are correct and in line with quotations provided.
  • Preparing market presentation for both new business and renewal reports. Attending client new business and renewal meetings.
  • Effectively manage individual diary.
  • Cross-selling other insurance products.
  • Credit control for clients.
  • Provide support to the department executives in accordance with office procedures.
  • Managing personal work workflow effectively and efficiently - reporting workflow to manager.
  • Maintaining a complete and comprehensive training record.
  • Sharing ideas or suggestions for business improvement with management.
  • Advising manager of any backlog in work in a timely manner.
  • Advising manager of any debt recovery problems or contentious issues in a timely manner.
