Job summary

LNJ Recruitment is seeking an experienced Back Commercial Account Handler for a growing local insurance broker in Northampton. You will manage a portfolio of commercial clients, handle new business, renewals, and MTAs while delivering expert advice across a broad range of insurance products.

The role offers up to £40,000 salary, structured development, a pension scheme, healthcare cash plan, life assurance and income protection, plus employee discounts.

Qualifications

• FCA compliance and accurate work.
• Commercial insurance experience in roles such as Account Executive, Commercial Account Handler or Commercial Broker.
• Strong understanding of commercial insurance products.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Proactive with a strong focus on delivering outstanding customer service.
• Experience with broking systems like Acturis is advantageous but not essential.

We are looking for an experienced Commercial Account Handlerto join alocalleading insurance brokers.

The Role

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing a portfolio of commercial insurance clients.
• Handling new business, renewals and mid-term adjustments (MTAs).
• Provide expert advice across a wide range of insurance products while developing lasting relationships
• Negotiating with insurers to secure the most suitable cover and competitive terms.
• Building relationships with both new and existing clients.
• Developing new business through referrals, networking and other business development activities.
• Providing professional advice and delivering an exceptional client experience.

About You

• Ensuring all work is completed accurately and in line with FCA requirements.
• Previous Commercial Insurance experience as an Account Executive, Commercial Account Handler, Commercial Broker or similar.
• A strong understanding of commercial insurance products.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• A proactive approach with a genuine focus on delivering outstanding customer service.
• Experience using Acturis or a similar broking system is advantageous but not essential.
