Job summary

Tudor Grange Samworth Academy, A church of England School, is seeking a dedicated pastoral support professional to help students access learning and develop wellbeing. You will work within the Mentor Team to support those facing emotional or behavioural challenges and build strong relationships with students, staff and families.

Role includes monitoring welfare, contributing to support plans, and promoting a positive ethos in line with academy values.

About this Role

To provide support for the educational and personal needs of students, which ensures that they have equality of access to opportunities to learn and develop.

To address the needs of students who require assistance in overcoming barriers to learning.

To act as an integral part of the Academy staff team and to support all colleagues in maintaining and developing the ethos, values and expectations of the academy and support agreed Academy policy in all areas.

The role is centered on providing strong pastoral support to students, helping them to feel safe, valued and able to engage positively in school life. As part of the Mentor Team, the post-holder works closely with students who may face emotional, behavioural or personal challenges, building supportive relationships and helping to remove barriers to wellbeing and learning. The role involves monitoring student progress and welfare, contributing to individual support plans, liaising with staff and parents, and promoting a positive, inclusive ethos in line with academy values.

Working Hours:

37 Hours per week, 39 weeks per year

Monday - Thursday 08:00am - 16:00pm & Friday 08:00am - 15:30pm
