Role Overview:

The Collections Strategy Performance Analyst is part of the Business Excellence team within British Gas Business Energy. The role focuses on driving operational performance, analyzing outsourced debt treatment, collaborating with operational teams to set targets, mitigate risks, and improve debt performance.

This position involves delivering performance analytics, understanding collection strategies' effectiveness, and enabling optimized credit and collections decisions to reduce debt costs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze monthly collections strategy performance and link operational activity to financial outcomes.
• Collaborate with debt teams to establish routines, monitor KPIs, and set targets.
• Forecast collection performance and set achievable goals.
• Identify opportunities and risks, providing recommendations and resolutions.
• Implement controls to ensure all debt is treated appropriately.
• Assist in ad hoc analysis for better credit and collections decisions.
• Support tactical and strategic changes to collection strategies.
• Build relationships with internal and third-party stakeholders for effective risk-based strategies.
• Develop and implement performance improvement initiatives, evaluating costs and benefits.
• Monitor operational performance and change initiatives for efficiency.
• Stay informed on industry trends and best practices in credit risk performance.
