Job summary

National Trust’s Newark Park requires a Collections and House Officer to help open the house daily, supervise the team, and ensure visitors enjoy a high-quality experience. You’ll contribute to conservation, housekeeping, and presenting the property in innovative ways, while managing costs and engaging diverse visitors.

You’ll work with a small team and report to the Property Operations Manager, gaining exposure to collections care and guest services in a historic setting.

• Excellent verbal and written communication with varied audiences.

Responsibilities

• Open Newark Park house daily and ensure appropriate staffing for a quality visitor experience.
• Assist with routine and preventive conservation and contribute to deep cleaning programmes.
• Record observations from cleaning to enhance knowledge of the house and contents.
• Collaborate with Visitor Experience team to present the property in engaging ways.
• Support cost management and budget awareness in daily operations.
