Job summary

i2i Recruitment Limited is seeking a proactive Debt Collections Officer in Cheltenham. The role focuses on contacting customers by phone and email to resolve payment issues, while building relationships to prompt payments and negotiating plans within compliance frameworks.

The position offers a competitive salary (£25,000–£27,000), a generous monthly bonus, and benefits including pension and life insurance in a supportive, regulated environment. Mon-Fri, standard hours in our Cheltenham office.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years proven success in regulated debt collection.
• Strong organisational skills with great attention to detail.
• Resilience and the ability to handle challenging conversations.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills.
• Basic computer skills; full training on in-house systems provided.

Responsibilities

• Engaging with customers via telephone and email to resolve payment issues
• Building relationships to facilitate quick notification of payments made directly
• Negotiating payment plans within strict compliance frameworks
• Completing administrative tasks related to debt resolution
• Supporting ad hoc duties as required to meet team goals
