Job summary

Royal Mail is hiring a Collections and Network Driver for York (YO26 4ZZ) on a fixed-term 6-month contract. The role is 20 hours per week across five days, with shifts between 13:00 and 19:00. You will deliver and collect items, check post-boxes, and support processing centers, helping ensure on-time deliveries.

You will be joining a team that values reliability, community, and strong customer service. A UK driving licence with minimal points is required, and you will work outdoors in varying

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence with up to 6 points.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather and move around on foot for long periods.
• Willingness to work across Mon-Sun with fixed 13:00–19:00 shift window.

Responsibilities

• Deliver on route and collect items including election materials in line with Royal Mail standards.
• Sort mailbags and ensure correct placement for timely delivery.
• Provide outstanding service and support to customers and business partners.

As a Collection Driver, you’re expected to securely deliver all items on your route, including handling and delivering election materials and certain items (such as food products or alcohol) in line with Royal Mail business standards.
