Job summary

Royal Mail Group is hiring a Collection Driver for the London Delivery Office. You will work 30 hours per week across five days (Mon-Sat) from 13:30 to 19:30, delivering and collecting mail with care and precision.

You'll need a full UK manual driving licence (max 6 penalty points) and a ready, customer-focused approach. The role offers a contributory pension, 22.5 days holiday, and uniform provision after three months.

Qualifications

• Able to walk long periods and work outside in all weather.
• Full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Be a people-person with a positive, proactive attitude.
• Flexible shifts across mornings, evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Securely deliver all items on your route to customers and business sites.
• Handle and deliver election materials and other items per policy.
• Sort mailbags and ensure correct routing to processing centres.

• A guaranteed hourly rate of £16.24p/h (paid monthly and adjusted to your working hours).

Please note: For candidate search purposes, roles offering between 35-37 hours per week are listed as full-time. However, any role under 37 hours per week will be classified as part-time in the employment contract.

As a Collection Driver, you’re expected to securely deliver all items on your route, including handling and delivering election materials and certain items (such as food products or alcohol) in line with Royal Mail business standards.
