Job summary

Royal Mail Group is recruiting for a Collections Driver at the Portsmouth Delivery Office. The role is permanent, part‑time (17.5 hours per week) across 5 days, with shifts from 15:30 to 19:00.

You will deliver and collect mail, check post-boxes, and visit business customers while ensuring items reach processing centres on time. Candidates should have a full UK manual driving licence with up to 6 penalty points and enjoy working outdoors in all weather.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and collect mail on your route safely.

• Provide a high level of customer service on every delivery.

Hours: 17.5 hours per week, working 5 days across Mon-Sun, working between 15:30 and 19:00

• A guaranteed hourly rate of £13.68p/h (paid monthly and adjusted to your working hours).

Please note: For candidate search purposes, roles offering between 35-37 hours per week are listed as full‑time. However, any role under 37 hours per week will be classified as part‑time in the employment contract.

As a Collection Driver, you’re expected to securely deliver all items on your route, including handling and delivering election materials and certain items (such as food products or alcohol) in line with Royal Mail business standards.
