Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Bromley is hiring a Collections Driver on a fixed-term 6-month contract for 20 hours per week, with shifts 14:30–18:30, across five days. You will deliver on your route, collect mail, and support our doorstep service.

You must have a full UK manual driving licence with up to six penalty points, enjoy working outdoors, and be a people-person ready to join a team focused on reliability and community.

Qualifications

• Must hold a full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Comfortable walking long periods and working outdoors in all weather.
• Flexible to work across 5 days (Mon-Sun) and shifts like 14:30–18:30.

Responsibilities

• Securely deliver all items on your route, including election materials.
• Collect mail and drop off at processing centres as required.
• Check post-boxes, visit post offices and sort mailbags for on-time delivery.

Please note: For candidate search purposes, roles offering between 35-37 hours per week are listed as full-time. However, any role under 37 hours per week will be classified as part-time in the employment contract.

As a Collection Driver, you're expected to securely deliver all items on your route, including handling and delivering election materials and certain items (such as food products or alcohol) in line with Royal Mail business standards.
