Job summary

Impact Academies & Camps in London is seeking a Coding & Robotics Tutor to deliver engaging lessons at our Loughton and Chigwell sites.

You will work with a Lead Teacher to guide children aged 5–17 through Scratch, Python and basic robotics using our approved curriculum, while preparing classrooms, supporting attendance and driving student progress in a collaborative teaching team.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of Scratch, Python, Web Development, Arduino or LEGO Robotics.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
• Patient, friendly and confident working with children aged 5–17.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Able to explain technical concepts clearly and simply.
• Comfortable working as part of a teaching team.
• Enhanced DBS check required — we can assist with the application.

Responsibilities

Impact Academies & Camps is expanding and looking for an energetic, reliable and tech-savvy Tutor to join our growing academy in Loughton & Chigwell.

This role is ideal for teachers, tutors, university students or tech enthusiasts with experience or an interest in working with children and technology.

What You’ll Do

Working alongside a Lead Teacher, you will help deliver engaging Coding & Robotics lessons for children aged 5–17 using our approved curriculum.

You will:

• Support students individually and in small groups
• Help children understand tasks and debug their code
• Encourage creativity, confidence and positive behaviour
• Assist with classroom organisation and equipment setup
• Support attendance and student progress using ALFA CRM
• Arrive 10 minutes before each class to help prepare the classroom
