Job summary

The School of Coding & AI in Wolverhampton is looking for a Classroom Support professional dedicated to assisting students in a nurturing environment. You'll work on lesson preparation, grading, and tutoring activities. Ideal candidates will possess strong communication skills, a minimum of 2 GCSEs, and a passion for education.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

School of Coding is an established education and training provider, delivering digital skills, coding and wider learning support to children, young people and adults across the UK and Europe.

Role Overview
Classroom Support
  • Assisting with lesson preparation and planning
  • Setting up equipment and materials for lessons
  • Helping students with assignments or classwork
  • Teaching and supervising students during activities
  • Providing additional explanations or assistance to individual students who need extra help
Grading and Assessment
  • Grading assignments, quizzes, exams, or other assessments
  • Providing feedback to students on their work
  • Recording grades and maintaining accurate records of student performance
Tutoring and Small Group Instruction
  • Providing additional support for students who are struggling with the material
  • Enrichment activities for students who need extra challenges
  • Remedial instruction to help students catch up on missed concepts
Administrative Tasks
  • Setting up and maintaining classroom technology
  • Organising and maintaining classroom materials and supplies
  • Communicating with parents or guardians about student progress or behaviour
  • Attending staff meetings or professional development sessions
  • Providing daily progress reports for pupils to track their academic development
Requirements
What You'll Bring
  • 2 or more GCSEs at grades 9 to 3 (A* to D), or equivalent, for a level 2 course
