Jam Coding (Derby & Loughborough) is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Code Coach to help deliver computing and coding sessions for primary-aged children in schools and clubs. This part-time, on-site role is based in Ashby-De-La-Zouch and includes helping prep teaching materials, demonstrations, and guiding learners through simple coding tasks.
You will support classroom management, provide feedback to the Lead Coach, and follow safeguarding procedures.

In this part-time, on-site role based in Ashby-De-La-Zouch, you will help prepare teaching materials and equipment, assist with demonstrations, and guide learners through simple coding tasks, games, and digital projects. You will encourage children’s creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork, while maintaining a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment. Day-to-day responsibilities include helping manage classroom behavior, offering one-to-one support where needed, and providing feedback on learners’ progress to the Lead Coach or Coordinator. You will also follow safeguarding procedures and school policies, and contribute ideas to improve activities and learner engagement.
