AWD online is hiring a Coded Welder / Steel Erector (Site Remedial Worker) for full-time, permanent work across nationwide sites. 40 hours per week, on-site in Wombwell, Barnsley. The role combines hands-on site welding and steel erection with remedial snagging and feedback to keep projects to standard.
The position requires current coded welder status, a CSCS card, and prior steel-industry and on-site experience. Desirable CPCS/IPAF/MEWP/Telehandler qualifications are a plus.

The Coded Welder / Steel Erector will identify remedial work and provide clear feedback to the relevant parties, helping projects progress to the required standard.
Your duties as the Coded Welder / Steel Erector include:
- Steel Erection and Fabrication: Carry out on-site steel erection and fabrication activities
- Site Snagging: Conduct snagging on erected steelwork and identify items requiring attention
- Remedial Work Identification: Flag remedial work to the relevant parties to support successful project delivery
- Project Feedback: Provide clear feedback on site issues and required remedial actions
- Health and Safety: Work in line with on-site health and safety regulations while carrying out site activities nationwide
- Current coded welder status
- Relevant CSCS card
- Previous steel-industry experience
- Previous experience working on site
- Strong understanding of on-site health and safety regulations
