LOCATION: Wombwell, Barnsley, South Yorkshire
JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent
WORKING HOURS: 40 hours per week
An excellent opportunity is available to support the successful delivery of structural steel projects across sites nationwide. The Coded Welder / Steel Erector will combine practical site work with quality-focused remedial activity.
Working across active project environments, the Coded Welder / Steel Erector will contribute to steel erection, fabrication and snagging while maintaining strong health and safety standards.
The Coded Welder / Steel Erector will identify remedial work and provide clear feedback to the relevant parties, helping projects progress to the required standard.
Your duties as the Coded Welder / Steel Erector include:
- Steel Erection and Fabrication: Carry out on-site steel erection and fabrication activities
- Site Snagging: Conduct snagging on erected steelwork and identify items requiring attention
- Remedial Work Identification: Flag remedial work to the relevant parties to support successful project delivery
- Project Feedback: Provide clear feedback on site issues and required remedial actions
- Health and Safety: Work in line with on-site health and safety regulations while carrying out site activities nationwide
- Current coded welder status
- Previous steel-industry experience
- Previous experience working on site
- Strong understanding of on-site health and safety regulations
- CPCS or IPAF, MEWP and Telehandler qualifications
