Job summary

AWD online is hiring a Coded Welder / Steel Erector (Site Remedial Worker) for full-time, permanent work across nationwide sites. 40 hours per week, on-site in Wombwell, Barnsley. The role combines hands-on site welding and steel erection with remedial snagging and feedback to keep projects to standard.

The position requires current coded welder status, a CSCS card, and prior steel-industry and on-site experience. Desirable CPCS/IPAF/MEWP/Telehandler qualifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• Current coded welder status.
• Relevant CSCS card.
• Previous steel-industry experience.
• Previous on-site experience.
• Strong understanding of on-site health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Carry out on-site steel erection and fabrication activities.
• Conduct snagging on erected steelwork and identify items requiring attention.
• Flag remedial work to relevant parties to support project delivery.
• Provide clear feedback on site issues and required remedial actions.
• Work in line with on-site health and safety regulations across sites nationwide.
