Job summary

TipTopJob is seeking an experienced Site Engineer for a high-profile coastal restoration project along the South Coast in East Sussex. The role focuses on site setting out, quality control, temporary works oversight, and coordination of sub-contractors on a challenging historic asset.

The ideal candidate holds HNC/HND/degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, CSCS, SMSTS/SSSTS, First Aid, with 3+ years' experience as Site Engineer in principal contractor settings; proficient with total stations,

Qualifications

• Qualification: HNC/HND/Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• CSCS card holder (civil engineer / skilled worker).
• SSSTS or SMSTS Site Safety Plus certification.
• Minimum 3 years as Site Engineer with principal civil contractor background.
• Proficient with total stations, GPS and modern survey software.

Responsibilities

• Setting out civil works, foundations, and structural elements with precision.
• Interpreting drawings, specifications, and CAD models for site controls.
• Supervising sub-contractors for historic metalwork, masonry, and groundworks.
• Maintaining ITPs and quality control documentation.
• Assisting Site Manager with diaries and progress reporting.
