Job summary

VolkerStevin, a leading civil engineering contractor within VolkerWessels UK, is seeking a Site Engineer for the Southsea Coastal Defence Scheme. You will lead setting out, survey control and QA across your section, ensuring works meet programme requirements safely and efficiently.

You’ll support junior engineers and coordinate with subcontractors and clients to deliver high-quality infrastructure. Applicants should have a Civil Engineering degree and ~5 years' experience in infrastructure,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• 5 years' experience delivering civil/infrastructure projects.
• Strong setting out and surveying capabilities.
• Knowledge of quality, health & safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead all setting out and dimensional control activities.
• Ensure accurate surveying and maintenance of project control points.
• Support temporary works planning and implementation.
• Provide technical guidance to site teams and subcontractors.
• Produce and implement Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
• Maintain accurate records including site diaries and quality documentation.
