Job summary

Randstad CPE is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join a major civil engineering contractor on a coastal restoration project in East Sussex. The role focuses on setting out, quality control, temporary works oversight, and coordinating sub-contractors on a Grade II*-listed historic infrastructure asset.

You will inspect materials, maintain ITP documentation, and ensure safety compliance while delivering complex marine/civil works and public realm improvements.

Qualifications

• Qualifications: HNC, HND, or Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• Certifications: CSCS Card, Site Safety Plus (SSSTS/SMSTS), First Aid at Work.
• Minimum 3 years as Site Engineer with principal civil contractor experience.
• Proficiency with total stations, GPS, and modern digital survey software.

Responsibilities

• Setting out civil works, foundations, and structural elements with precision.
• Supervising sub-contractors and coordinating temporary works safely.
• Maintaining ITPs, quality records, and daily site diaries.
• Ensuring compliance with heritage guidelines and environmental constraints.
