Job summary

Randstad CPE is seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead a high-profile coastal restoration project in East Sussex. You will drive day-to-day site operations, safety, and quality across a complex scheme on a Grade II*-listed asset, delivering on programme and budget.

You will oversee direct labour, engineers, and specialist subcontractors in structural steel, cast-iron restoration, concrete repair, and marine works, coordinating with stakeholders and ensuring environmental and heritage

Qualifications

• We require a proven Site Manager with civil engineering/heritage restoration experience.
• Candidates should hold SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid at Work where applicable.
• Experience delivering coastal, marine, or listed-asset projects is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily site operations safely, on schedule, and within budget.
• Coordinate directly employed labor, site engineers, and specialty sub-contractors.
• Oversee logistics, material deliveries, and access on a coastal footprint.
• Maintain look-ahead schedules and liaise with Project Manager on progress.
• Lead safety culture and ensure CDM compliance and environmental standards.
• Ensure quality control against drawings, specs, and heritage guidelines.
