Job summary

Metalis is supporting a prestigious manufacturing partner in Rotherham to recruit a CNC Turner to join the night shift. The role covers setter/operator duties on high value components, with training in lean manufacturing and strict QA standards.

The ideal candidate will have prior setting and operating experience, and be proficient with micrometers and verniers, able to work from engineering drawings to deliver parts on time.

Qualifications

• Previous Setting & Operating experience – Essential.
• Experience in high pressure, precision engineering environments.
• Proficient using micrometers and verniers.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications.
• Methodical worker keen to progress and learn.

Responsibilities

• Operating CNC Lathe machinery producing high value components.
• Setting/Operating.
• Using manual measuring equipment (micrometers & verniers).
• Working from engineering drawings and specifications.
• Promote and contribute to continuous improvement and lean manufacturing.
• Maintain quality standards and perform in-process checks.
