Job summary

Howmet Aerospace Inc. in the United Kingdom is seeking a skilled CNC Setter/Operator (MK1) for the PM shift at Leicester Plant. The role involves setting, fault-finding and operating machines to produce aerospace fasteners, with strict tolerances and role-specific program proofs.

Qualifications

Experience of working within a busy Manufacturing environment.
Experience setting CNC Machines preferably DMG/Mori/CMZ/Doosan with fanuc/sieman controls
Aerospace experience would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

Set, fault find & operate machines to produce fasteners to strict tolerances.
In process deburring and Self Inspection.
To use gauges and measuring equipment to ensure product meets required specifications.
Self-certification of personal work.
To prove out downloaded programs so they are in line with the correct timings in accordance with our manufacturing and quality standards and then to up load the proven program.
Keep all computer files and manual paperwork accurate and up to date at all times.
Responsible for producing SPC charts and records.
Ensure housekeeping is maintained to the highest standards.
Ensure all quality procedures are adhered to, taking an active part in root cause analysis.
