Job summary

Interaction Technical invites an experienced CNC Turner Programmer, Setter & Operator to join their precision machining team in Northampton. The role involves programming, setting and operating Fanuc turning machines to produce high-quality components and tight tolerances.

Overtime is paid and a stable, long-term career with progression is on offer. The package includes a basic salary of £35,000–£38,000 with potential £40,000–£45,000 OTE, with 38-hour week and early finish on Fridays.

Qualifications

• Time-served CNC Turner with programming, setting and operating experience.
• Strong knowledge of Fanuc controls and 2D drawings reading.
• Experience machining exotic alloys and tight tolerances.
• Proactive, self-motivated with good housekeeping and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Program, set and operate Fanuc-controlled CNC turning machines.
• Produce precision components to customer specifications.
• Read and interpret 2D engineering drawings.
• Inspect parts using measuring equipment and maintain quality standards.
• Support continuous improvement and production targets.

Location: Northampton, Northamptonshire
Salary: £35,000 - £38,000 (38-hour week) - £40,000-£45,000 OTE
Hours: Monday to Thursday 06:00-14:30 or 07:00-15:30, Friday 06:00-12:00

The Role

As a CNC Turner Programmer, Setter & Operator, you will be responsible for programming, setting and operating Fanuc-controlled CNC lathes, producing high-quality precision components to tight tolerances.

Key Responsibilities

• Program, set and operate Fanuc-controlled CNC turning machines


• Produce precision components to customer specifications


• Read and interpret 2D engineering drawings


• Machine a variety of materials including Duplex, Titanium and Hastelloy


• Inspect and verify components to tight tolerances


• Conduct in-process and final quality checks


• Maintain safe working practices and housekeeping standards


• Support production targets and continuous improvement initiatives

What We're Looking For

• Time-served CNC Turner with programming, setting and operating experience


• Strong knowledge of Fanuc controls


• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings


• Experience machining a range of materials, including exotic alloys


• Competent using inspection and measuring equipment
