Workforce Staffing is seeking an experienced CNC Turner / Programmer in Romsey, Hampshire. Salary £38,000-£40,000 DOE, 39 hours/week, permanent, full-time. You will programme, set and operate CNC turning machines, reading engineering drawings and producing high-precision components from one-off to batches of 40.

Experience with Fanuc programming is beneficial; aerospace/high-precision background advantageous. Right to work in the UK required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a CNC Turner.
• Strong programming and setting experience.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience producing precision, tight-tolerance components.
• Knowledge of tooling, cutting conditions and machining processes.
• Fanuc programming experience beneficial.
• Aerospace or high-precision background advantageous.

CNC Turner - Programmer

Location: Romsey, Hampshire
Salary: £38,000-£40,000 DOE
Hours: 39 hours per week Monday-Thursday: 7:30am-4:30pm
Friday: 7:30am-12:30pm

We are recruiting for an established precision engineering business with a long-standing reputation supplying high-quality components to demanding sectors including Aerospace, Oil & Gas and Marine.

The business is looking for an experienced CNC Turner / Programmer to join their team on a permanent basis.

The Role

• Programme, set and operate CNC turning machines.
• Produce precision components from one-off through to batches of 40.
• Work from engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Set tooling, offsets and work-holding.
• Ensure components are produced accurately and to required tolerances.
• Carry out quality checks throughout the machining process.
• Make programme and offset adjustments where required.
• Work as part of a skilled and experienced precision engineering team.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a CNC Turner.
• Strong programming and setting experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience producing precision, tight-tolerance components.
• Good understanding of tooling, cutting conditions and machining processes.
• Fanuc programming experience would be beneficial.
• Aerospace or other high-precision engineering experience would be advantageous.
