Job summary

Questech Recruitment Ltd in Huddersfield requires an experienced CNC Turner Programmer, Setter and Operator to join a small, friendly precision engineering team. 39 hours per week, days, with overtime available, and an hourly rate of £18.

CNC TURNER PROGRAMMER

We are recruiting for an experienced CNC TURNER to work for our client who are located in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire.

Our Client are a long established Precision Engineering company that produces a wide variety of high-quality machined components that currently have an opening for a skilled CNC TURNER Programmer, Setter, Operator to join our small friendly team.

We support several Blue Chip customers across the country with their precision component requirements.

Main accountabilities

To programme, set and operate Turning Centres with Fanuc control. Experience with other control systems would be considered.

Key skills

• Previous programming, setting & operating experience producing 1 off s & small batches in a wide range of materials, including exotics.
• Quality checking your own work using micrometers, bore mic s, etc.
• Reading engineering drawings.
• Working to tight tolerances.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCES & SKILLS

• Minimum 3 years' experience working within a high precision manufacturing background or Apprentice trained
• Experience producing high quality one offs and small batches
• Excellent communication skills

The hours

You will be working days 39 hours a week

Mon Thurs: 7am 5.15pm

Overtime Available.

The pay / benefits

You will earn an hourly rate of £18 min

257 hrs holiday (includes stats)

4 day working week

Overtime when required at x1.5
