Job summary

Gi Group UK is seeking an experienced CNC Turner to join our engineering team in Leicester. The role focuses on programming, setting and operating Fanuc-controlled turning machines to produce high-quality components across various industries.

You will turn parts such as bearing housings and prototypes, work with steel, aluminium and cast iron, and contribute to general workshop tasks while maintaining strict quality and accuracy standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as CNC Turner Programmer/Setter on Fanuc controls.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings with precision.
• Experience machining steel, aluminium, cast iron or similar metals.

Responsibilities

• CNC turning, programming and setting using Fanuc controls.
• Produce bearing housings, custom one-off parts and prototypes.
• Work with steel, aluminium, cast iron and other materials.
• Support general workshop tasks when required.
• Ensure all work meets quality and accuracy standards.

Salary: GBP35000 - GBP36000 per annum + Overtime and Bonus

We are looking for an experienced CNC Turner to join our growing engineering team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone confident in programming, setting and operating Fanuc controlled turning machines, producing high quality components for a wide range of industries.

What You'll Be Doing

• CNC turning, programming and setting using Fanuc controls
• Producing bearing housings, custom one off parts and prototype components
• Working with steel, aluminium, cast iron, and other materials
• Supporting general workshop tasks when required
• Ensuring all work meets quality and accuracy standards

What We're Looking For

• Strong experience as a CNC Turner Programmer/Setter
• Confident programming and setting Fanuc controlled machines
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Experience machining a variety of metals
• Reliable, accurate and quality focused

Time & a half Monday-Saturday after 40 hours

Double pay on Sundays
