Job summary

3Sixty Talent Management Ltd is recruiting an experienced CNC Turner/Programmer to join a well-established precision engineering business on a permanent late shift. This role involves programming from scratch, setting and operating 2-axis CNC turning machines with minimal supervision.

You will work a four-day working week with every Friday off, handling components from drawing to finished product, including tooling, machining and inspection. Fanuc controls experience is desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience programming, setting and operating 2-axis CNC turning machines.
• Able to write new CNC programmes from scratch at the machine.
• Strong knowledge of G-code programming and inspection.

Responsibilities

CNC Turner / Programmer 2-Axis CNC Turning | Permanent Late Shift | 4-Day Week

3Sixty Talent Management are recruiting for an experienced CNC Turner / Programmer to join a well-established precision engineering business.

This is a CNC programming role, not a setter/operator-only position. You must be confident writing new CNC turning programmes from scratch at the machine, as well as setting and operating with minimal supervision.

The Role

Working on an established late shift, youll benefit from a four-day working week, with every Friday off.

Shift times:

• Monday to Wednesday: 4.30pm 3.30am
• Thursday: 4.30pm 1.00am
• Friday: Day off

Youll be responsible for taking components from engineering drawing through to finished product, including programming, setting, tooling, machining and inspection.

Essential Experience

• Proven experience programming, setting and operating 2-axis CNC turning machines
• Able to write new CNC programmes from scratch/long-hand at the machine
• Strong working knowledge of G-code programming
• Confident completing full machine set-ups from engineering drawing to finished component
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings, tolerances, surface finishes and inspection
• Experience producing one-off and low-to-medium volume precision components
• Experience working with a range of hard and soft metals
• Able to edit and optimise existing programmes
• Quality-focused, self-motivated and comfortable working with minimal supervision

Desirable

• Experience with Fanuc controls
• Fanuc Manual Guide i experience
