Job summary

Springwell Precision Limited is seeking a full-time CNC Turner Programmer based on-site in Washington. You will set up, program and operate CNC turning machines to produce precision components from technical drawings and customer specs.

Daily tasks include interpreting drawings, choosing tooling, writing and tweaking programs, inspecting parts, and keeping the machines and work area safe and efficient. You will collaborate with engineers and workshop colleagues to optimize production processes

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site CNC Turner Programmer role based in Washington. The CNC Turner Programmer will set up, program, and operate CNC turning machines to produce precision components according to technical drawings and customer specifications. Daily tasks include interpreting engineering drawings, selecting appropriate tooling, writing and modifying CNC programs, and performing machining operations to meet quality and dimensional requirements. The role involves inspecting finished parts, making adjustments to programs and setups as needed, and maintaining machines and work areas to ensure safe and efficient operation. The CNC Turner Programmer will collaborate with engineers and workshop colleagues to optimize production processes and meet delivery deadlines.

Qualifications

• Ability to interpret and work from technical drawings and engineering specifications.
• Strong CNC Programming and Programming skills for turning operations, including creating and adjusting programs at the machine.
• Hands-on experience in Machining and Milling, with a focus on CNC lathes and related equipment.
• Proficient in setting up and operating CNC turning machines, with an understanding of tooling, feeds, and speeds.
• Attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and commitment to quality and safety in a workshop environment.
• Relevant vocational or technical qualification in mechanical engineering, manufacturing, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Previous experience in a precision engineering or bespoke manufacturing environment is advantageous.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team, communicate clearly, and manage workload to meet production targets.
