Job summary

Metaltech Precision Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced CNC Turner/ Programmer/ Setter to join our precision manufacturing team. You will program, set and operate CNC turning centres to produce complex components to demanding tolerances while supporting continuous improvement.

Five years’ experience in CNC turning, strong programming and setup skills, and knowledge of AS9100 and GD&T are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years’ experience in CNC Turning/ Programmer/ Setter
• Strong CNC programming, setting and process optimisation skills
• Experience in Aerospace, Oil & Gas, Automotive or other high-precision manufacturing sectors
• Excellent understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T and precision measurement
• Knowledge of AS9100 quality standards
• Proactive, reliable and able to work independently or as part of a team
• Offline programming experience (Mastercam, Edgecam or Fusion 360)
• Experience with continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing

Responsibilities

• Program, set and operate CNC turning centres using Fanuc and Mazatrol controls
• Manufacture complex components on 2-axis, multi-axis and mill-turn lathes
• Interpret engineering drawings and manufacture components to tight tolerances
• Select tooling and optimise programs to maximise quality and productivity
• Machine a variety of materials including stainless steels, aluminium, titanium and exotic alloys
• Carry out first-off and in-process inspection using precision measuring equipment in accordance with AS9100 requirements
• Support Lean/6S initiatives and maintain high housekeeping standards
• Work closely with Engineering, Production and Quality teams to resolve manufacturing issues

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced CNC Turner / Programmer / Setter to join our skilled manufacturing team. You will be responsible for programming, setting and operating CNC lathes and mill-turn machines, producing complex precision-engineered components to demanding quality and tolerance requirements while supporting continuous improvement across production.
