Job summary

IMT Resourcing Solutions Ltd on behalf of our client, a specialist precision engineering manufacturer, is seeking an experienced CNC Turner who can set, operate and programme turning machines to tight tolerances.

You will work from detailed drawings, select tooling and feeds, use live tooling where required, and contribute to quality, yields and safety in a regulated environment. This hands-on role offers progression and exposure to complex, high-precision components across demanding industries.

Qualifications

• Proven experience setting, operating and programming CNC turning machinery.
• Experience with multi-axis CNC machining.
• Strong understanding of tooling, speeds, feeds and materials.
• Experience working to tight tolerances in a precision environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Confident using manual measuring equipment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.

Responsibilities

• Set, operate and programme CNC turning and multi-axis machinery.
• Manufacture precision-engineered components to detailed drawings and specifications.
• Work with live tooling and complex machining operations.
• Select appropriate tooling, speeds and feeds for different materials.
• Work with the wider production team to meet manufacturing timescales.
• Carry out dimensional checks using manual measuring equipment.
• Ensure production and quality documentation is completed accurately.
• Support improvements in machining efficiency, quality and productivity.
• Maintain high standards of safety and housekeeping.
